Asbestos

Asbestos Disease, Asbestos Cancer,
and Legal Compensation

It is estimated that more than 21 million Americans have had a significant amount of asbestos exposure in the past. Most of these people were exposed to asbestos dust during their work with or around asbestos products before before the mid-1970's, when the use of asbestos products was reduced.

A few examples of asbestos products are: asbestos insulation, including asbestos block insulation, asbestos pipe insulation, and asbestos pipe covering; asbestos millboard; and, asbestos cement or asbestos refractories. There are many other asbestos products.

The workers who were most likely exposed to asbestos dust on the job include the following:

  • Carpenters
  • Cement Finishers
  • Custodians
  • Electricians
  • Foundry Workers
